Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
Raymond was killed on 30 Aug 1917 and the war diary entry for the day states "11am to 2pm enemy's artillery active on Potizte, White Chateau and Potizje Wood. 10.5 cm [shells] chiefly used". From this it is assumed that Raymond was killed between 10am and 2pm by enemy 10.5 cm artillery fire.| Personal & Family History |
