- Charles was originally buried at map reference 66c.M.8.c.6.4. and his remains were exhumed and moved to Seraucourt in May 1924.

Charles is listed as being killed in action on 23rd March 1918. The 2nd Squadron war diary entries for the period 21st to 24th March are transcribed below. Maucourt – 21st March 1918: 3 Troops left dismounted & joined dismounted Brigades who went up in buses to support the Infantry. Maucourt – 21st to 23rd March 1918: No 1 Troop gallantly defended post at Jussy under Lt. Kezar MC, No 2 & No 3 [Troops] worked on defences for their Cdes [Comrades?]. HQ Dismounted party under Capt. Armstrong prepared bridges over R. Oise & Canal for demolition. Jussy - 23rd March 1918: No 1 & No 2 Troops rejoined Sqdn. Sqdn moved to Pontoise Pontoise – 24th March 1918: Sqdn moved to Bailly |
