- We believe that Laurie was a Reservist before the war but there are no surviving records to support it.
Circumstances of Death
| Laurie died of appendicitis and septicemia on 28th September 1915 at the Kempston V.A.D. Red Cross Hospital in Eastbourne, Sussex. Laurie had been wounded by shrapnel a few weeks earlier in August 1915 and had been treated at a Military hospital in Calais |
