Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
Lander was killed on 19 Sep 1918 during a successful operation to clear German troops from the Poplar trench system near Peiziere on the Hindenburg Line, after which the battalion was relieved in the lines by the 2nd/4th Bn London Regiment.
