Circumstances of Death

Arthur died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis at the Paddington St. Mary's Hospital on 15th June 1920 in the presence of his father Henry. Before the war Arthur was a civilian working in the Army Service Corps (ASC) Officers Mess at Aldershot. At some stage between the 1911 census and 13 August 1914 he joined the Army Service Corps and would have been stationed in Le Havre, France until at least the end of the war in 1918.
