Albert is listed as being killed in action on 26th April 1917 after receiving a gun shot wound to his thorax. He was the gunner in an Royal Aircraft Factor being flown by April 1917 became known as Bloody April and the RFC lost 245 aircraft and 211 aircrew killed or missing during the month. More here |
