Circumstances of Death

Victor died on 23 Apr 1919 of pneumonia aboard HM Australian Troop Ship Aeneas while sailing home to the UK from Mesopotamia where he had been serving in Baghdad. He was buried at sea at map reference 37.53.N - 9.16.E and is remembered on the Hollybrook Memorial in Southampton.
