Before his death Arthur was entitled to wear three gold wounded stripes as he was wounded three times in France:- 1 May 1917 - Gunshot wound to wrist - invalided home, returned to France on 13 Jul 1917 On the 28th Jul 1918 Arthur died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Laryingitis at the The City Isolation Hospital, Northfield, Birmingham |
