Circumstances of Death
It has proven difficult to find any military records for Bernard and the details we have are taken from the Roll of Honour inside Wormleighton Church which states that he was "discharged for agricultural purposes and passed away at home on 23 Dec 1917". The War Memorial Obelisk states that he served in the Hampshire Regiment. His death certificate reveals that he died of Broncho Pneumonia in Wormleighton on 23 Dec 1917. |
