Previous Military Service

Frank enlisted in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment on 12 Apr 1910 but was discharged as medically unfit on 18 Jun 1911.

Circumstances of Death

At the time of his Frank's death the 343rd Siege Battery comprised of two12 inch Howitzers mounted on Railway trucks and on 22 Nov 1917 became part of 10th Bridage Royal Garrison Artillery.

Frank is listed as dying of wounds at the 10th Cascualty Clearing Station which was positioned at Remy [Railway] Siding, Lijssenthoek near Ypres. The 10th Brigade war diary does not list any casualties and so we cannot state when Frank was wounded but a short report in the Warwick Advertiser states that he was killed by enemy shell fire.
