Circumstances of Death
| John died of his wounds on 27 Aug 1916 at the 3rd Candian General Hospital in Boulogne. We do not know exactly where or when he was wounded. As he died at Boulogne it means that he was evacuated from the battlefields on the Somme to the coast at Boulogne, most likely on an ambulance train.
