- 7 Oct 1916 transferred the Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry
- 14 Jul 1917 - transferred to the RFC with the Rank of Air Mechanic 2
- 13 Sep 1917 he was promoted to Air Mechanic 3
- 20 Jun 1918 promoted to Aircraftsman 1st Class as a Carpenter (planes were constructed mainly from wood)
Circumstances of Death
| Frank died of Cardiac Failure at the Horton War Hospital, Epsom on 29 Jul 1919, a newspaper reports suggests that his heart disease was caused by shell shock & trench fever.
