Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
The battalion were ordered to take six objectives (see map) in conjunction with the South Wales Borderers. 1: Faucille Trench; 2: Foreats Trench; 3: Fortraits Alley; 4: Forestier Trench; 5: Fumiates Alley and 6: Glu Trench. After a false start caused by thick mist and battle noise the battalion attacked and with the South Wales they managed to capture all the objectives with not too much resistence. 8 men were killed including Reginald and 47 wounded.
