Circumstances of Death
George died from wounds received during a dog fight with a German aircraft over the battle lines on 15 Nov 1917, his pilot was killed and the wounded George managed to crash land the plane. He died the following day at one of the three (4th, 47th & 61st) Casualty Clearing Stations that used Dozinghem Military Cemetery to bury their dead. |
