Circumstances of Death

Charles was hospitalised with heart value and other issues at the 12th General Hospital while serving in France and on 26 June 1916 was sent back to the UK and then discharged from the Army as medically unfit on 4th March 1918. On 24th May 1918 Charles died of Valvular Disease of the Heart at The Hospital, Old Stratford, Stratford on Avon.
