Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
On 25th March the battalion was ordered to withdraw from their positions at Pertain and from there to Omiecourt as they fell back in face of the massive German Spring Offensive attack. On the 26th they were ordered to withdraw from Chaulnas to Lihons and from their to a position west of the Brick Factory at Rosieres. Frank was killed at by a shell on the night of 25th/26th.| Personal & Family History |
