Circumstances of Death
| William is listed as dying of wounds on 18th April 1917 at one of the Military Hospitals in the Rouen area. Unfortunately none of his military records or the 1st/5th Battalion war diary give us any clues as to when and where William was wounded or at which hospital he died.
