  • Follwing its arrival in France on 21st September 1915 the 12th Battalion was moved to Salonika, arriving there on 25th November 1915 where it remained.

Circumstances of Death

George is listed as "death presumed" on 28th June 1918. Unfortnately none of the books, publications or other information regarding the 12th Battalion which was part of 79th Infantry Brigade, 26th Division contain any reference as to what they were engaged in at that time and therefore we are unable to comment further.
