Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)

Joseph was killed during the attack on German lines at Le Fosses Farm near Monchy-le-Preux.
The successful attack started at Maison Rouge SE of Arras and once taken the battalion dug in and consolidated the position.
